The „Final Tour“ in the EU project IMPULS with conferences in Germany, Poland and the Netherlands has come to an end. In total, about 300 teachers, scientists, representatives from business, chambers, politics and school administration came to Holten (NL), Gorzow Wlkp. (PL) and in Angermünde, Brandenburg, to discuss the implementation of transnational practice contacts in schools: how to establish such practical contacts between German and Dutch schools and companies for the career learning and entrepreneurial thinking of pupils and for the internationalization of schools , was a key issue in the Netherlands. In Poland, the IMPULS Final Conference kicked off the vocational and vocational year 2014/2015 – cross-border practice contacts are now to be brought more into the focus of Polish schools following the experience of the EU project. The participating partners will continue their work in the future: Together, the Brandenburg and Polish schools will visit the training fair VOCATIUM in Frankfurt / Oder and continue to explore companies in Germany and Poland. In Angermünde, the Uckermärkische Unternehmervereinigung initiated a follow-up project linking cross-border practice contacts of pupils with the improvement of the training ability and the combating of skilled labor shortages in the region. „We have to try much more intensively than before to strengthen the concrete cooperation with schools in the Netherlands, Germany and Poland“, demanded Prof. Dr. Hans Kaminski, director of the Institute for Economic Education (IÖB), where the overall coordination of the project was. „At the same time, we should look for opportunities to develop cooperation between teachers and colleges in the field of economic education, possibly through new projects. The IÖB is ready for further cooperation at all levels“ said Kaminski.
